The Angelus - Jean-Francois Millet (1814 -1875)
In the desire to pay tribute to the Barbizon School of Painting (mid 19th century), the town of Barbizon has created an open-air museum, The route of the painters. Opened April 17, 2010, this course exposes 20 mosaics, made from original works.
Presented outdoors, along the High Street and its adjacent streets, places of residence or establishment of artists, these works interpret the major paintings of Jean-François Millet, Théodore Rousseau, Jean-Baptiste Corot .. . and should the visitor an introduction to painting colorful.
