Checkerboard Cookies

These cookie intrigued me when I saw them at

after I have a few questions come to understand, say that I would not argue with somebody making the recipe I had to concentrate, they are really worth, I invite you to take a look at Isa's blog to see beautiful pictures! plus they are exquisite. For more details read the comments on the blog isa.

Makes about 2 dozen 1 / 2 biscuits 2 cups (250 g) flour 2 egg yolks

3 / 4 cup (180 g) butter 3 / 4 cup (150 g) sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons cocoa 1 egg white

In food processor fitted with the blade, knead the flour, egg yolks, butter, sugar and vanilla until dough is smooth.
Divide dough into 3 equal parts and knead 1 / 3 with cocoa until smooth.
. Wrap separately
3 pieces of dough and set aside 30 minutes in refrigerator. Lower 1 / 3 of batter into a rectangle 32 cm long by 20 cm wide. Lower
the other 1 / 3 of batter into a rectangle 8 cm wide and 20 cm long and 1 cm thick.
Repeat with 1 / 3 of dough with cocoa.

In each rectangle of dough 1 cm thick, cut 8 strips of dough to 1 cm in width.
Brush the dough rectangle large clear egg white. The cover tape of dough sandwiching the colors: A light band, a band cocoa, a light band, a band cocoa.

Cabbage salad creamy and velvety cake

I must admit, Jean-François Plante and now one of my favorites for recipes, it's always be happy when my niece suggests I go to dinner at his restaurant Aromate Laval I've never been disappointed, this salad is different and tasty but I found that there was a teaspoon of herbs too salty so I added cream pastoral 15% and there was quite to my taste!

Ingredients 6-8 servings
.
(1 cup) carrots, grated or finely minced

125 ml (½ cup mayonnaise) homemade or store
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

2.c coffee (2 tsp salt grass (I've found that too much, a teaspoon would do)

Pepper Mill

2 tbsp pickle relish

1 tablespoon garlic salt 1 tbs

coffee (1 tsp) dried rosemary (rosemary Me)

1 tsp (1 tsp) dried oregano Salt and pepper

of pepper to taste.

. Preparation

Toss cabbage and carrots in a large bowl. Book.

Whisk all ingredients in a bowl and toss with desired amount of vegetables.

Serve immediately.
